Finance Manager - Engineering

To support the Head of Engineering Commercial Finance and the Engineering management team in all areas of financial support, from monthly reporting to business evaluations.

To manage and effectively lead finance analysts in the following processes - Financial analysis, budgets, business cases, forecasts and season reviews.

What You'll Be Doing
Manage the annual budget process and co-ordinate understanding with the business/engineering management
Support the Head of Engineering Commercial Finance and the Engineering Directorate in the financial evaluation of commercial initiatives, from contract negotiations and evaluation of the heavy maintenance strategy through to various profit initiatives
Support monthly finance reviews with the Directorate to monitor all aspects of financial performance and ensure that information is fed into a solid monthly forecasting process
Support the Engineering senior management team to understand the cost drivers and financials of their area to deliver the most cost effective delivery of maintenance
To work with the business to establish and monitor meaningful KPI's. Develop and produce solid monthly reports to enable solid control of balance and P&L items primarily: - engine, airframe and LLP reserves, engineering DOC and FOC lines, overheads and costs in relation to the hangar.
Explore and develop new policies and procedures to continually improve the quality of controls over the engineering cost base and working with the Directorate ensuring the optimum engineering reserve position is maintained
Challenge existing engineering finance processes to ensure the streamlining and efficiency of the engineering finance team
To work with the whole of the Engineering Finance team to build a high performance culture within engineering finance and ensure strong successions are established
Adhoc duties as required
